UPS Manufacturing Process: Shipping

By Logan Bridges

At United Poly Systems we follow a rigid, multi-step manufacturing process to ensure our HDPE products meet our tight quality standards and the customer’s specifications. Once the pipe is secured in the appropriate package—coils, reels or straight line ‘sticks’—it is ready for shipping.

The completed package is staged in the shipping yard of one of our two manufacturing centers in Albuquerque, NM or Springfield, MO. Quality control checks all the samples that are taken after every stick, reel or coil; or every hour, whichever is more frequent. Before the material is shipped, quality control also goes into the yard and checks the order in its entirety, making sure there are no imperfections before it is loaded onto a truck.

The material is carefully loaded and secured on one of our top carrier companies and away the order goes. The order can be delivered to multiple project locations to expedite project work.

Our logistics managers ensure open lines of communications between shipping and receiver or the customer. The customer knows they can reach out directly to the logistics managers at either location for shipping information or delivery status.
